The CM18 welder-concept allows the canmaker to use it either as an automated module for 1/2-automatic machines or as a completely fully automatic unit. With this machine we are offering you a high quality and low maintenance WIMA-welder to an unbeatable price-performance relation. Format-changes: It was clear for us to design this machine in a way that you can change canbody diameters as well as can-height in a very short time, not loosing your advantage to be flexible even for small can orders. In 10 minutes you can change heights, in max. 20 minutes diameters. Bodytransport: Two different transport-systems can be used; A simple pneumatic cylinder and a weld speed-synchronisation device for up to 40 cans/containers per minute or a servo-driven crank system for up to 60 units per minute. Rollforming: In type CM 18-M the sheets are formed by a bending-wedge-system. For bigger sheet-thicknesses, as they can be welded with CM18-P, a set of bending roller is used. Maintenance: Maintenance free bearings, gear-boxes and drives are doing their job for many years. Still, the unavoidable grease nipples can be reached easily. Wire profiling: Leaks on finished cans are mainly a result of a bad contact between wire and the tinely overlaped blank – especially after a production stop. The big dimensioned profiling rings prevent the notorious «over squeeze while stop»-mark on the welding wire. Control: The electrical control is arranged simple and clear in its structure, giving you the best possible reliability. In order to avoid the interferences from outside only high-quality components are used (see picture).
