X8 Low-Speed Welding Bodymaker
Similar to the low speed CM18, Can Man‘s first automatic welder, X8 will find its working field in the general and food can industry where top quality welding at a low output but with fastest changeover possibility is requested.
Standardised
X8 can be considered as the most versatile welding machine concept ever made. Whether you wish to produce ø 65 mm canbodies or ø 288 mm containers, X8 gives you the freedom to run all your products with only 1 basic machine concept. Standard operating procedures, standard spare parts, standard machine components and a standard maintenance schedule will power up your efficiency to the top.
QuickChange Plus
As a logical consequence of the Can Man idea for a fully automatic height change (world premiere in 2004 on the X1 - high speed welder!) changing the height with the X8 is a matter of seconds. Even the lifttable downstacker can be equipped with this feature upon request. Equipped with AC Linear-Servodrives (patents pending), mechanical components (= wear parts) are impressively minimized in order to maximize reliability.
Touch Panel
As all machines of the X-series, X8 is operated via an easy to use and top relyable, swiss made, touch panel; The software is structured so simple, it can really be operated intuitional.
XPlane
Another real breakthrough is the "fixed welding plane". With this feature, time consuming and difficult setting of the welding plane after regrooving the welding rollerheads becomes obsolete. No more hassles with pendulum rollerhead angles or finding the correct height of the calibration crowns, the z - bar tip (headpiece) or the exit conveyor. Adjust only what you‘ve changed!.

Ergonomics
Easy operation became synonymic with the welding bodymakers of Can Man; opening the rollformer with the push of a button, calibrating crowns weighing as little as 5 - 10 kg, adjustable or moveable man-machine interfaces (touch panel) or the impressive and further improved and simplified Can Man Softwire technology are just a few samples of how welding bodymakers are built today.
